REVIEW: Holiday Inn Express Heathrow Terminal 5

REVIEW: Holiday Inn Express Heathrow Terminal 5

Sometimes you need a fast, convenient place to crash for the night before an early flight and ths is where Holiday Inn Express T5 comes into its own.

It’s a very busy, high footfall hotel within a 12 minute bus ride from Heathrow terminal 5 and only a few miles from the M25. It seemed to be extremely popular with flight attendants from a variety of airlines which was a colourful surprise in the reception area.

The rooms are all nicely decorated with fairly safe colours, a tea and coffee making tray and a compact bathroom.

The only thing that let this stay down was that the bathroom was in desperate need of a serious clean with lots of limescale around the shower screen/door.

One free drink of a glass of wine, beer on draught or soft drinks, a benefit of being an IHG Rewards Club member.

The check-in was done by a friendly and helpful Front Office Manager who efficiently carried out check in. One nice surprise thanks to IHG Reward Club membership was a free drinks voucher and 20% off food and drink in the bar/restaurant.

The car park was extremely busy and at £10 per night was quite competitively priced. If you’re driving our advice is to arrive as early as possible as by 7pm the car park appeared to be 95% full.
