REVIEW: DoubleTree by Hilton Woking

The DoubleTree by Hilton Woking is a highly rated hotel on TripAdvisor (4/5 - very good) so we had to check it out for a night.

It’s easily accessible from the main road and parking is in an underground car park that’s well lit with lots of spaces. If you have a particularly wide or high car you might need to be careful but when we arrived the car park was quiet with lots of choice of spaces.

One of the perks of staying at any DoubleTree around the world is the warm cookie you get upon arrival and this one was no different. It was gooey, chocolatey and nutty. And DELICIOUS. It has been known for guests to ask for another as they’re so good!

Not only did we get a cookie on arrival, but there was an extra surprise waiting in the room. A welcome letter from the Front Office Manager, a snack pot of Pringles and an apple Nutrigrain bar. We’re not sure if it was a benefit of being a Hilton Honors member but it was a nice surprise nonetheless.

The only downside of this particular room was that the bathroom needed a better clean as we noticed a bit of black mould and the bath itself was rather dirty.

But don’t let that put you off, the rooms were immaculate and we can’t imagine every room would be like that given how clean everything else was.

The biggest highlight of the hotel was the staff, they went out of their way to make sure it was a great stay and to give me another reason to come back again.
